Kamishibai is a form of story telling which originated in Japan. The stories consist of large pictures on illustrated cards. On the back of each picture is the English version of the text, with the original Japanese beside it.
Years 4 and 5 borrowed some Kamishibai story cards from the Japan Society and then had a go at making their own. The children worked in groups to produce their story cards and then using a 'wooden stage' read them to Key Stage 1.
